  Maybe long but please read. This is Pleasant Gap Baptist Church located in Ellijay Ga. My mom who has stage 4 lung cancer and its spread to her brain has been attending here since her diagnosis. She enjoyed going here. This morning at the end of service the doors were open to "anyone" wanting to join. Excited my mom ask to join by letter. Two others joined as well. My mom and the other 2 were asked to stand at for hand shakes welcoming them as members. My mom is very shaky bcuz of the cancer and the treatments. My mom has no hair due to treatments. The members of this church gladly shake hands with the other two but was hesitant to shake hands with my mom. They acted like she had samething they would catch. She when to touch a small childs hand and the mom pulled the child away. As my mom was leaving the church bout to get into her car several members came over questioning her motives of why she was joining and once they found out my mom had been married twice. She was told she wasnt allowed to be a member there bcuz she had been married twice. My mom left in tears. Now if God can forgive my mom why cant these people. I pray God opens their eyes on how wrong they are. The bible clears states in 1 Corinthians 7:9 also reveals, But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. So for her to marry a second man is better than just sleeping with him. It does not say that a person who has been married more than once cant join the church it just says a person who has been married more than once cant service as the pastor or deacon. So im not trying to trash this church by no means. Im just letting everyone know what kind of people attend
  here. This is why alot of people dont even wanna attend churches. Please pray for my mom. Also please pray for the people who did her wrong today.
